During Tom's sunny Californian youth, he consumed a robust diet of print, radio, and TV news, from the Los Angeles Times to Washington Week to the Wall Street Journal. While in college, he also wrote for and helped produce the Columbia Daily Spectator. In addition to advising the WESS Gazette, he teaches the school's first Journalism class, which was made possible through the Journalism for All program.
